THE STORY OF AIR O SPORT
From a simple idea to a purpose-driven movement built on play
What began as a way to stay connected across generations became a new way for people everywhere to move, compete, and belong.
Air O Sport wasn’t created in a lab or a boardroom.
It started with a simple desire:
To stay connected.
To play with my aging dad.
To intentionally play with my kids.
And to still compete (really compete) when I wanted to.
Screens were easy.
Schedules were full.
Time together was shrinking.
So instead of choosing between family connection and competitive play, we asked:
What if one game could do both?
A Game That Grows With You
The goal wasn’t to invent a sport.
It was to design something that could meet people where they are and stay with them as life changes.
It had to be
- Simple enough for kids
- Engaging enough for stressed adults
- Competitive enough for athletes
- Accessible enough for anyone
Air O Sport became a way to play together
across ages, abilities, and seasons of life.
No screens. No sidelines. Just human to human fun.
Samuel Changed Everything
When Samuel came into our lives, Air O Sport took on deeper meaning.
Samuel is fully reliant on our care.
He can’t walk or talk.
His motor skills are extremely limited.
Traditional sports weren’t built for everyone.
So instead of asking Samuel to fit the game,
we let him show us how the game needed to change.
We added sound (insert bells inside the rockets) while playing with students at the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind.
We innovated game modes that slowed things down.
We reimagined what it means to participate.
Sometimes play looks like movement.
Sometimes it looks like sound or being included in between games.
Samuel didn’t need to play the game perfectly.
He helped us imagine a game where he belongs.

As Air O Sport moved beyond our backyard, we saw the same thing happen again and again.
